Junior Historians Camp at Middleton Place

Location: Middleton Place National Historic Landmark

Enjoy milking a cow and learning hands-on artisan activities in the Plantation Stableyards like candle dipping and corn grinding. Learn about the role of enslaved people on the plantation, particularly their involvement in the rice culture of the Lowcountry. Take a nature walk, learn about colonial games, meet the Middletons, and take a carriage ride!

Topsail Equestrian summer camp offers a fun and educational outdoor adventure for riders of all levels, ages 5-13! First time riders are welcome. iTEAMS Xtreme is the SC Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics’ computer science, technology and entrepreneurship day camp for rising 7th and 8th graders. Campers engage their innovative side by developing an idea for a new product while incorporating the latest technologies. Students select one of three challenges: 3-D printing a product, developing a mobile app, or creating an interactive object using MaKey MaKey.

Cost: $185 per student – includes materials, a t-shirt, snacks and a pizza party on the final day.

$165 Early bird rate – if paid with submitted application by April 11.

iTEAMS Xtreme: Next Generation is the SC Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics’ computer science and technology day camp for rising 7th and 8th graders. During Next Generation, students will build their own robot and program a remote control using Arduino technology, electronic microprocessors, and infrared receivers.

Cost: $185 per student – includes materials, a t-shirt, snacks and a pizza party on the final day.

CREATEng is the SC Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics’ one-of-a-kind, four-day immersion into engineering and design-based thinking for rising 8th & 9th graders. Working in teams, students engage in a problem-based curriculum where they apply principles of engineering design to solve daily challenges, such as designing blades for a wind turbine, cleaning up from an oil spill, developing a solar-powered s’mores cooker, or constructing a parachute.

Cost: $250 per student – includes materials, a t-shirt, snacks and a pizza party on the final day

Storytree Theatre is proud to offer the only theatre camp in Charleston that puts theatre in the imaginations of the students as students write, design and perform a play based on characters and story of their own creation. Throughout the week, students develop performance technique while engaging in innovative activities that explore the fundamentals of theatre. The week culminates with a performance for family and friends.
