The 4th of July is all about celebrating the birthday of America, thanking those that fight for our freedom, bbq-ing with friends and family, and fireworks! Oh, the fireworks! There’s something magical about seeing the sky light up in red, white & blue. We’ve compiled a list of fantastic fireworks displays and Independence Day events happening in and around Charleston!

Charleston Riverdogs

Head down to the Joe to watch the Charleston Riverdogs play the Rome Braves and stay for the fireworks show after the game!

{Date} Saturday, July 4th. Game at 6:45, fireworks display to follow.

{Location} Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park, 360 Fishburn Street, Charleston.

{Admission} Tickets start at $15.

Folly Beach

{Date} Tuesday, July 4th

{Location} On the beach, 2nd Block East at Dusk.

{Admission} Free!

Mount Pleasant

Patriots Point 4th of July Celebration. Buy tickets to watch the fireworks from the flight deck of the USS Yorktown. Or, party land side for free with live music, activities for kids, and food and beverages for purchase.

{Date} Tuesday, July 4. The landside celebration starts at 4pm. The Flight Deck opens at 6pm.

{Location} 40 Patriots Point Rd, Mount Pleasant

{Admission} Free for landslide celebration. Tickets for the Flight Deck are $35 or $100.

Isle of Palms

{Date} Tuesday, July 4. Fireworks begin at 9:15

{Location} Front Beach area, Isle of Palms

{Admission} Free!

Sullivans Island

Independence Day Celebration in the Park.

{Date} Tuesday, July 4. Music begins at 5pm, fireworks begin at dusk.

{Location} J Marshall Stith Park, 2050 Middle Street, Sullivans Island.

{Admission} Free!

 North Charleston

4th of July Festival featuring musical guests, activities for kids, vendors, food trucks, and a fireworks show!

{Date} Tuesday, July 4, 3:30-9:45pm

Summerville

Red, White, & Blue on the Green. Join in the annual Summerville tradition with music, games, children’s activities, and more.
