 Disney’s The Little Mermaid

This Disney classic is coming to South Carolina for an entire month! With music that we all know and amazing dancing, the whole family will enjoy it!

Art Walk

Stroll along Historic Broad Street in Downtown Charleston the first Friday of every month, as galleries, restaurants, and boutiques open their doors.

Tuesday, September 5

Animal Forest Tuesday at Charles Towne Landing 

Bring your toddlers to watch the animals and stay for a story and a walk out to the habitat. Recommended ages is 2-4.

Wednesday, September 6 

Kid Tours: Carolina Gold

Head to The Charleston Museum on the first Wednesday of every month for a craft project or activity and a brief history lesson. This month’s lesson will focus on the steps of rice production and the importance of Carolina gold.

Charleston Restaurant Week

The next installment of Charleston starts on September 6th and goes through the 17th. Enjoy world-renowned cuisine from the Lowcountry with prix fixed lunch and dinner menus.

Thursday, September 7

Bark in the Waterparks

Bring your four-legged friends to this first annual event at Splash Island Waterpark in Mount Pleasant for “yappy hour.” There will be beverages for the owners and the dogs can have fun splashing around the park. Because of the high popularity of the event last year, this event will also take place on Saturday, September 9th, and Sunday, September 10th. Check website for complete details.

Weekend Wine-Down 

Need a little getaway? Head out to Deep Water Vineyard at Wadamalaw Island for some live music, food trucks, and of course, wine! This event takes place every Saturday!

2nd Sunday on King Street

Shop, dine, and walk along King Street, which is closed off to traffic, on the 2nd Sunday of each month! Print this voucher to receive two hours of free parking!

Sounds of September 

Head to the Mt. Pleasant Town Center every Sunday in September for live, local music, food, and drinks! The event will kick off with Southbound 17, a local country band.

Saturday, September 16

Fam Jam, A Free Family Festival

Head to Marion Square as the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry’s partners with more than 30 community businesses to celebrate family and community togetherness and the power of PLAY. There will be live music, food, and hands-on activities that the entire family will enjoy.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s Charleston

Join thousands of participants for a 1.5 mile walk through Riverfront Park in North Charleston and help to raise funds and awareness about Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.

Kiawah Island Gold Resort Triathlon

This triathlon is the only intermediate distance race in the area to feature an ocean swim. Take in the beautiful scenery as you race and then enjoy live music afterwards!

Bark in the Park

Head to Wannamaker Park for pet exhibits, experts, entertainment, and more! The dogs can run around in the dog park while their owners listen to live music. Don’t forget to stay for the pet parade.

Natural History Grand Opening and Family Fun Event

The grand opening of the new Natural History Gallery at The Charleston Museum is taking place and it will be fun for the entire family! There will be special presentations, crafts, live animals, and more.

South Carolina Aquarium Turtle Trek

Run for the turtles in this sunset 5k run/walk that supports the sea turtle care center.

Scrumptious Summerville Pinwheel Gala

This gala, supported by Dorchester Children’s Center and Children in Crisis, Inc., kicks off the Scrumptious Summerville Kitchen Tour weekend and will feature dancing, food and drinks, live music, and a silent auction. Come out and help support a good cause!

Summerville Rotary Oktoberfest at Hutchinson Square

Rotary Oktoberfest is back in Hutchinson Square September 30th from Noon to 6:00. This is the largest event of its kind in Summerville. There will be live German music, jump castles, food trucks, vendors, and plenty of good beer!
