This will give you time to get settled at the barre and meet the instructor to discuss any injuries or if you have any questions beforehand.
  • The class will last 60 minutes, which will be broken down into four sections to specifically target the different areas of the body.
  • After class, we will have snacks and refreshments set up in the lobby and time to mingle.
  • Attendees should wear yoga pants and a comfortable, athletic tank or tee. You should also bring a bottle of water and socks.barre evolution3

 The Workout

Barre is not a dance class, so the smaller the movement the better the results. In class you will hear things like “just an inch,” which translates to a very small, controlled movement. This type of controlled workout will help muscles feel “happy sore” for a couple of days, and you will even identify muscles you never knew you had! Each attendee will receive a guest pass for a complimentary follow-up class. It is highly recommended that you come for another class two or three days after the event to keep those muscles working and moving. Drink plenty of water after the workout!barre evolution2

The Barre Evolution Difference

Barre Evolution is Charleston’s first fully certified barre fitness studio dedicated to a safe, full body workout that tightens, sculpts and elongates muscles to start the transformation to a long, lean and healthy body. First created by Nancy Meyer and Nicole Wallen, Barre Evolution is now an essential destination in the sizzling fitness scene in Charleston, S.C.

This is not your average workout. The method, derived from the pioneering Lotte Berk Method, flattens abs, tones thighs and lifts seats. Using a ballet barre with safe and controlled movements, interval training and static stretches after working each major muscle group improves strength and flexibility with visible results no matter your age, size, or fitness level.

Barre Evolution offers a wide range of class types, with options to suit a variety of fitness levels. Instructors are trained to provide modifications for a true multi-level class. With locations in South Mt Pleasant, North Mt Pleasant, West Ashley, and Greenville, moms are sure to find a convenient class for them!
