Fall FestivalsThere are plenty of fun Halloween and Fall festivals in Charleston that the entire family can enjoy this year! Check out our list of events and let us know in the comments below if we missed one of your favorites!

Summerville Sweet Tea Festival

218 S. Main St., Summerville, SC 29483

Come enjoy this annual festival in historic downtown Summerville, the birth place of sweet tea! With live music, food, and of course, sweet tea, it will be fun for the whole family!

September 21, 4 – 9 pm


Bark in the Park Oktoberfest

North Charleston Wannamaker County Park, 8888 University Blvd., North Charleston, SC 29406

What could be cuter than our four-legged friends in costume?! Head down to Wannamaker Park with your pets for a costume contest, pet exhibits, demonstrations, live music, and tasty German food and beer.

Summerville Rotary Oktoberfest

Brown Family Park, Nexton, Summerville, SC 29483

Live German Oom Pah Band, food and beer available for sale. Children Play Zone with jump castles, games, and face painting are available at a nominal fee. Oktoberfest Games and Costume Contest with prizes will be held all day.

September 30, 12 – 6 pm


Oktoberfest

MUSC Health Stadium, 1990 Daniel Island Drive, Charleston, SC 29492

Enjoy a day full of food and beer, live music, jump castles, Oktoberfest games for adults, and more! Tickets are $13, kids 10 and under are free. 

October 1, 12 – 5 pm


Goose Creek Fall Festival

Marguerite H. Brown Municipal Center, 519 N Goose Creek Blvd, Goose Creek, SC 29445

Head to Goose Creek for a day of fun including a DJ< crafters, vendors, a kids play area, climbing wall, and delicious food! Proceeds from the festival will benefit Helping Hands of Goose Creek, a local food bank which supports families in need.  For every 2 non-perishable food items donated, guests will receive 1 raffle ticket for the giveaways.

October 7, 10 am – 4 pm


Scarecrows on the Square

Hutchinson Square, 102 South Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483

Scarecrows, decorated by local businesses and groups, will be on display around Hutchinson Square during this annual event brought to you by the Junior Service League of Summerville. Vote for your favorite by October 23!

Latin American Festival

North Charleston Wannamaker County Park, 8888 University Blvd., North Charleston, SC 29406

Celebrate the sights and sounds of the Latin world with live Salsa and Merengue music, authentic food and crafts, and plenty of fun for the entire family.

October 15, 12 pm – 6 pm


Summerville Italian Festival

Hutchinson Square, Historic downtown Summerville

Experience authentic Italian cuisine in the heart of downtown Summerville. Along with tasty food to sample, there will also be a variety of imported and local wines to try. Admission is free!

October 15, 11 am – 6 pm


Mount Pleasant Children’s Day Festival

Park West Recreation Complex, 1251 Park West Blvd., Mount Pleasant, SC 29466

Come out and enjoy the 30th Annual Children’s Day Festival, featuring carnival games and rides, live entertainment, face painting, and much more! Admission and all activities are free!

October 15, 12 pm – 5 pm


Harvest Festival & Block Party

Olde Village, North Charleston (East Montague Avenue, between Jenkins and Virginia Avenues)

Head to the 4th annual Harvest Festival, a free event for people of all ages! Activities will include trick or treating for kids 12 & under, a kids zone with crafts, face painting and inflatables, an artist market, pop-up pumpkin patch, live music and more!!

ToogooBoo!

Toogoodoo Tree Farm, 7355 Toogoodoo Road, Hollywood, SC 29449

Head to Toogoodoo Farm for a family-fun and festive Halloween weekend! They’ll be raising money for 2 local charities with activities like a spooky hayride, booths, a band and food trucks!

Fall Family Festival

Games, food trucks, a book sale, a bake sale, vendors white elephant, live entertainment, pony rides, a car show – there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Fall Fest 2017

Carolina Bay Park, Charleston, 29414

Head to Carolina Bay for a parade, pumpkin patch, carnival games, food trucks, and much more!

Lowcountry Halloween Festival

Omar Shrine Temple, 176 Patriots Point Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464

Children can trick-or-treat, get their face painted, bounce on an inflatable, watch a stage show, meet the Snow sisters, and so much more. Families are encouraged to come in costume! Trick-or-treat stations and costume contests will take place throughout the day. Local businesses will be on site showcasing their family-friendly products and services, sharing information, and hosing activities and giveaways.

Halloween in the Old Village

Park West Recreation Fields, 1251 Park West Blvd., Mt. Pleasant, SC 29466

Bring the whole family for Halloween fun that includes jump castles, games, crafts, face painting, trick or treating, and refreshments.

Ghostwalk

Hutchinson Square, 102 South Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483

Listen to ghost stories, take part in festival games, and enjoy delicious food, all while wearing your favorite costume. Hutchinson Square will be surrounded by scarecrow displays created by local businesses and groups, and guests can vote for their favorites! All proceeds benefit the JSL of Summervile School Supply Fund for Dorchester School Districts 2 and 4.

Goose Creek Halloween Carnival

Goose Creek Community Center, 519A North Goose Creek Blvd, Goose Creek, SC 29445

Carnival games, candy, prizes, cupcake walk, and costume contest for kids 12 and under!

Bring your family out to be TREATED in a safe and fun environment with local organizations and businesses at the FREE event!

Harvest Festival

Mullet Hall Equestrian Center, 2662 Mullet Hall Road, Johns Island, SC 29455

Enjoy live music from five local bluegrass bands! Kids will be entertained by hay rides, archery, crafts, and more! Be sure to stop by the craft market to get a head start on Holiday shopping!
