Adults Only: Night at the Brewseum

Sorry kiddos, this one’s just for the adults! The Children’s Museum will be transformed for the evening, complete with competitive games, a silent disco, delicious food, and local brews and wine.

Art Walk

Head to Broad Street on the first Friday of every month for an art walk that will feature galleries, restaurants, shops, and boutiques on the row.

Good Catch Oysterfest

The South Carolina Aquarium will be hosting an evening of fresh, local oysters, local craft wine & beer, live music, and food samplings from Good Catch partner restaurants.

The Wizard of Oz

The James Island Junior Theatre is thrilled to present, “The Wizard of Oz!” 

Performed by youth actors age 8-18, The Wizard of Oz is fun for all ages! The Wizard of Oz opens on February 2nd and runs through February 11th. Tickets are $5.00 (age 4-10), $10.00 (age 11-17) and $20.00 for adults.

Pup Bowl

Pup Bowl is a pet adoption and family-fun day to benefit Charleston Animal Society. Cheer on as the cutest puppies available for adoption will face off in a friendly “football” game. The event will also feature fund-raising for CAS, a photo booth, bounce house, face painting, balloon animals, caricatures and more!

Charleston STEM Festival

The Charleston STEM Festival is a celebration of science, technology, engineering and math in the Lowcountry. The 5th annual festival will be highly visible outdoor event that provides opportunity for engagement and exchange between children, teens, families, and local STEM professionals.

Free Family Day at the Children’s Museum

Free Family Friday offers FREE ADMISSION FOR EVERYONE at the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry! No pre-registration required, just come and enjoy the fun!

Bacon and Bourbon

If you’re a bacon (or bourbon) lover, this is an event you don’t want to miss! Benefiting the Junior League of Charleston’s hunger and homelessness initiative, there will be unlimited samples of bacon dishes and bourbon tastings, as well as live music, a bull riding championship, and a cigar cabana. Perfect for a date night or evening out with friends!

Cupid’s Chase 5k

Community Options, Inc. invites runners, walkers, and rollers (baby strollers and wheelchairs) to help make difference in the lives of people with disabilities by participating in our annual Cupid’s Chase 5K. Because of you…we can make a difference!

Mardi Bra: A Parking Lot Party With a Purpose

Come celebrate Mardi Bra at Triangle Char & Bar in Avondale. This Mardi Gras style parking lot bash benefits the Undergarment Society, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit which provides new bras and underwear to women escaping domestic violence and girls in foster care. Tickets include food & drinks as well as live entertainment by Trick Knee & Plane Jane. Lots of games & prizes. Come Party With a Purpose!

Valentines Pajama Party

Your family is invited to a fun-filled celebration of Valentine’s Day – in your pajamas! Join us for our first-ever Valentine’s Pajama Party. We’ll enjoy breakfast and hot cocoa in our pajamas as we celebrate the holiday by decorating our own treats! Plus, we’ll have a Valentine’s Card-decorating station in the Art Room for your little one to make hand-made cards for all his/her friends (plus some for children at One80 Place, the local homeless shelter).

2nd Sunday on King Street

Shop, dine, and walk along King Street, which is closed off to traffic, on the 2nd Sunday of each month! Print this voucher to receive two hours of free parking!

Third Thursdays in Summerville

2nd Annual Kids Helping Kids Imagine Festival

The students of Orange Grove Charter School would like to invite you to join them for a fun day of treats, games, jump castles and food at the Kids Helping Kids Imagine Festival. This is a kid-sponsored event and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital as part of the Change Bandits Program.

Head For The Cure 5K Run/Walk

Head for the Cure raises funding and awareness for brain cancer patients. This inaugural event for Charleston will begin in Palmetto Islands County Park and there will also be a kids fun run.

Folly Gras

This is the family-friendly Mardi Gras of the East Coast. Kicking off with a parade, the event includes street performers, costume contest, a robust kids area, and 40 food, arts, crafts and fashion vendors.

Craft your Coastline: What’s Brewing in Oyster Restoration

Oysters hold more value than just the occasional pearl – Michael Hodges, Biologist with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, will pry open a new understanding of oyster biology. Enjoy a cold brew while learning about the many benefits these bivalves provide for coastlines and our communities. Doors will open at 6:00pm with the lecture starting at 6:30pm. Papa John’s Pizza and Cooper River Brewing beer samples will be provided. Additional beverages will be available for purchase. Please bring your ID.

Mardi Crawl on Shem Creek

The 14th Annual Mardi Crawl, presented by the Lowcountry Parrot Head Club, will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018. Registration opens at noon, the Crawl runs from 1 pm until 6 pm. Participants can pre-register online for $25 starting January 5th at, which guarantees a T shirt. Walk-up registration the day of the event will be at Red’s Ice House for $30. The South Carolina Alzheimers Association and Pet Helpers are the primary charities supported by Mardi Crawl in 2018. Participants will visit local restaurants on Shem Creek, where they will play games, get beads, enjoy food and drink specials, and enter to win prizes. Complimentary water taxi services is provided.
