Ever feel like you’re stuck in a rut of doing the same ‘ole thing for your date nights or girls night outs? Or maybe you’re like me, and most of the moms I know, and don’t get this much needed time out nearly as much as you deserve! Fortunately, there’a a great local option that is perfect for a date night, an afternoon with girlfriends, or even a corporate work event!

Paint & Sip at Pinot's Palette!

Pinot’s Palette

Recently, some of the Charleston Moms Blog team got to take a much needed break and have some fun at Pinot’s Palette, a paint and sip studio located in North Charleston (and right next to Target, I’m pretty sure we have all heard of that place?!) Before we went, we got to pick from their huge selection of paintings. I was curious, and eager, to see how my very unartistic self was going to be able to re-create this beautiful painting we chose!

Pinot’s Palette is warm and welcoming, with a large studio in the front room. There is also a private room that you can book for private parties (see more about that here). In the front of the studio there is also an area where you can buy drinks and snacks. They have wine, beer, and a variety of other tasty adult beverages, as well as non-alcoholic drinks. The owner and staff were very friendly and took the time to explain how everything worked and making sure that we were comfortable before we started painting.

Time to paint!

Paint & Sip at Pinot's Palette! After getting our aprons on and settled in our work areas, it was time to put our skills, or lack thereof in my case. to the test! LaTasha was our teacher and I could tell immediately that it was going to be a fun time, regardless of our artistic abilities! She had a great energy and the fun music only made our lesson that much more enjoyable. The paint was all ready at our stations when we got there, along with our easels and brushes. Between that and our fancy blue aprons, I was starting to feel like a real artist!

LaTasha explained each step of the painting as we went along, telling us how to mix the colors, shade different areas, and provide us with help as we needed it. We were having so much fun that I totally forgot about the fact that I was supposed to be awful at any and all art projects! The delicious mimosas might have helped with that too! The time flew by and pretty soon we all had these beautiful paintings to take home that we could take full credit for! You can even have your masterpiece framed at the studio as an added bonus.

Ta-da! Our final masterpieces

The CMB team had a great afternoon at Pinot’s Palette. It was the perfect mix of fun and creativity, while learning more about, and supporting, a great local business. There are a variety of different event and package options to choose from, whether you are looking to celebrate a special occasion, or are wanting to do some team building with your colleagues. And I promise that even if you can’t draw a straight line (ahem, me) you will definitely be patting yourself on the back after some time spent at Pinot’s Palette. With their wonderful teachers and fun environment, it’s the perfect place to unwind, while taking home some great memories!
