Lowcountry Parks & Playgrounds: Splash Island Waterpark

1

Welcome to our series: Lowcountry Parks & Playgrounds! Each article in this series will focus on a specific park/playground at locations all throughout the Lowcountry.

Splash Island WaterparkIt’s already “Charleston Hot”! We wanted to have a cool-down day with the kids, but since we always go to the local beach on Sundays, we wanted something a bit different. The kids and I have been to Palmetto Islands County Park several times for picnics and walks with the dog. We have seen Splash Island tucked away and surrounded by the natural beauty of the park, but we had never actually made our way into it — so we decided to go for it!

Pro tip: Go early to ensure you can snag a lounge chair!
