Wine Down Wednesday

Call the babysitter and head to Old Towne Creek County Park for a date night or fun (and well deserved) evening out with friends. There will also be food trucks and live music to enjoy.

Come check out this 35th annual event which features fantastic performances, exhibits, and activities that everyone will enjoy.

Art Walk

Head to Broad Street on the first Friday of every month for an art walk that will feature galleries, restaurants, shops, and boutiques on the row.

Arty Block Party-Art Market + Street Dance

Head to North Charleston’s Olde Village on East Montague Avenue for the Arts Fest Arty Block Party, a lively outdoor event combining an art market and street dance! Vendor booths featuring local artists, makers, and arts-related businesses and organizations will line the street. (Currently accepting vendor applications – visit NorthCharlestonArtsFest.com/apply). Free face painting, inflatables, circus entertainment by Good Clean Fun, and hands-on art activities will be offered in the Kid’s Zone from 5:00-7:30pm.

Lowcountry Shrimp Festival

The Lowcountry Shrimp Festival is a celebration of shrimp and blessing of the fleet at the Robert E. Ashley Boat Landing. There is live music, local shrimp, BBQ, and local artisans and children’s play area. All proceeds from the festival benefit Cape Romain Environmental Education School.

Charleston Cinco de Mayo Festival

Starting in 2006, the Charleston Cinco de Mayo Festival celebrates Latin culture and heritage. The Charleston community can enjoy Hispanic food, dance, and music.

Sunday, May 6

Bark for your Brew 

Bring your four-legged friend out to Joe Riley Park for this dog-friendly craft beer tasting presented by Southern Eagle Distributing on Sunday, May 6th from 2pm-4pm.

Sample over 30 craft beers from Southern Eagle Distributing’s craft beer portfolio, enjoy live music and watch funny dog videos with your favorite furry friend!

Hops & Vines

Enjoy wine, beer, and live music while experiencing the beauty of McLeod Plantation Historic Site. May 10 with Dave Landeo Musician and Dashi food truck

Listen To Your Mother presented by Charleston Storytellers

Wannamaker Movie Night

Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket, and join us for a movie night under the stars at North Charleston Wannamaker County Park. Movie nights are FREE with regular park admission.

Saturday, May 12

15th Annual Moms’ Run + Family Fun Day

This annual run/walk is open to all ages and is hosted by Postpartum Support Charleston. It begins on Daniel Island and ends at the MUSC Health Stadium. The run is followed by music, free food, and plenty of children’s activities.

Family-friendly Dragtime Cabaret

Presented in partnership with the one and only Brooke Collins, this drag show features a night of glitz, glamour, and humor. Families will love the fun music, beautiful costumes and cozy theater experience! The family-friendly performance is suitable for children of all ages! All children (including infants), regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter. Charleston Beer Garden 2018

Tickets for the 2018 Charleston Beer Garden will go on sale Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018. You’ll want to grab them at the early-bird rate (especially VIP tickets, which always sell out). NEW: You asked, and we listened! The 2018 event will largely focus on bringing you breweries from around North and South Carolina so expect to see plenty of local Charleston breweries plus your favorite beers and ciders from the rest of the Carolinas.

The Atlantic Cup

The Atlantic Cup is returning to Charleston! From May 22nd- 26th, visit Charleston City Marina where the boats will be docked to prepare for the race. You may even get a chance to talk to some the sailors about the race!

Piccolo Spoleto
