New Year’s Resolutions

2

Do you know that approximately only 20% of New Year’s resolutions are successfully achieved? Maybe it’s because we set our standards too high, or we are too specific, or maybe we just give up too quickly. If I make one at all, it’s usually very vague (be a better person, mother, wife, daughter, etc.).

Lets face it, every single year we say: “I can’t believe it’s December! “Where did the year go?”

Every. Single. Year.

This year, I want to hold myself more accountable. I want my actions, my behavior, my year, to be lived intentionally. Now, this doesn’t necessarily mean, “planned out,” but more like, deliberate.

4 Ways I Plan on Being More Intentional This Year

1. Faith

I will follow more passionately in my beliefs. That positivity and strength, in turn, will overflow into my relationships and my everyday life. We, mamas, have to continuously fill our buckets in order to meet the daily demands required of us.

2. Family

I am dedicated to making their best interests my number one priority. Setting a course for us as a whole, so that we don’t wander aimlessly through life and wonder “where did all the time go?”

3. Health

As moms, we love our families so much that sometimes we put them first and may overlook the importance of taking care of ourselves. So this year, I want to be more conscious in my decisions about how I fuel my body. My choices will, in turn, influence my loves positively.

4. Work

Making the difficult decision to go back to work has taken this resolution to another level. Living intentionally is even more difficult with less “free” time, making it essential to live every moment to it’s fullest. Even something as small as reading an extra bedtime story or patiently listening while your six-year-old reads every. single. word.
